Concrete-filled metal pan treads sit atop metal stringer angles and form the stair assembly. Each step incorporates a fourteen-gauge typical "J" riser extending down to meet the supporting metal structure beneath. The design maintains an eleven-inch minimum tread depth and a maximum seven-inch riser height per code, with a one-and-one-half-inch nosing projection. Metal supports tie the pan assembly back to the structural stringers.
