A suspended acoustical ceiling terminates at an expansion joint adjacent to a cold-formed metal stud wall framed at sixteen inches on center. The metal studs are anchored to the structure above and braced with diagonal metal stud bracing at four feet on center. A hanger wire supports the ceiling at eight inches maximum from the wall. A continuous extruded expansion joint accommodates movement, bounded by a four-inch joint width and a vertical gypsum board finish on the stud framing.
