This two-hour fire-rated partition assembly consists of six-inch metal studs spaced per the stud schedule with three-inch minimum sound attenuation batts in the stud cavities. Both sides of the wall receive two layers of five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum wallboard. The assembly extends from the line of finished floor up to the underside of the structure, featuring a scheduled base and accommodating ceiling heights where applicable. Variations B1 and B2 modify the stud depth to three-and-five-eighths inches and eight inches respectively.
