A three-foot concrete wheel stop is anchored to an asphalt concrete pavement layer over Class 2 aggregate base. The assembly is secured using two number 5 rebar anchors measuring thirty inches long, driven flush with the top of the wheel stop. The installation maintains a two-foot offset from the edge of pavement or two feet plus the width of a walk. Rebar penetrates fifteen inches below the base course.
