The storefront frame is set against the edge of a tilt-up concrete monolithic panel, which features a 3/4-inch by 3/4-inch chamfered corner. The exterior joint between the storefront and the concrete is sealed with a continuous sealant and backer rod. On the interior, the storefront frame abuts a layer of foil-faced polyisocyanurate board insulation. This insulation is finished with 5/8-inch Type X gypsum board, with a sealant bead applied at the junction between the storefront frame and the insulation edge. The storefront system is installed as scheduled.
