An exterior stair base assembly anchors to a concrete slab on metal deck using structural steel components. A 2-inch by 1/2-inch flat plate with eased edges frames the stair stringer assembly. The guardrail consists of a 1 1/2-inch outside diameter handrail and 1/2-inch outside diameter pickets spaced at 4 inches on center. Perforated metal risers integrate into the stair treads, supported by the steel stringer framing.
