A box header contains batt insulation and cold-formed metal framing, backed by an exterior wood soffit assembly. The rough opening preparation wraps the weather-resistive barrier and flashing assembly into the opening, sealed with backer rod and sealant at the frame joint. An insect screen is detailed at the edge of the wood soffit, adjacent to a linear wood ceiling assembly on the interior side. Steel eyebrow framing supports the overhang assembly above the storefront head.
