An emergency eyewash station features a stainless steel eyewash bowl mounted on a vertical pedestal secured to the finished floor with a powder-coated cast aluminum floor flange. The assembly includes a powder-coated cast aluminum flag handle operating a one-half-inch chrome-plated brass stay-open ball valve. A one-and-a-quarter-inch outlet ties the waste from the eyewash into the floor drain tailpiece upstream of the P-trap. A one-half-inch water supply drops down from a wall or I-beam, connected to a hot and water accessible mixing valve located near the ceiling.
