An integral resinous base transitions seamlessly from the face of the finished floor up a scheduled partition with a four-inch vertical height. The assembly consists of a cement backer board installed flush with gypsum board above, finished with a metal edge trim at its top termination. A backer rod sits at the internal angle to form a coved corner, and the resinous base material continues continuously across the face of the floor slab.
