A scheduled transition strip is anchored to a concrete slab with countersunk stainless steel fasteners beneath a scheduled door. Scheduled glue-down carpet abuts both sides of the transition strip with a maximum one-half inch clearance. The assembly accommodates floor finishes while maintaining a flush transition at the door threshold.
