The assembly is built upon double two-by-eight minimum wood framing supporting a plywood deck and an OSB roof structure with minimum one-quarter-inch Securock and sixty-mil TPO membrane roofing set in TPO bonding adhesive. The roof hatch curb features minimum one-half-inch plywood backing secured to the hatch unit counterflashing, with twenty-four gauge galvanized iron counterflashing inserted and secured using base flashing fasteners at eight inches on center. Three-eighths-inch head screws with five-eighths-inch steel and neoprene washers are installed at a minimum of three per side. Roof protection material of minimum one-half-inch thickness is installed on three sides, set in five large dabs of roof cement extending to the top of the cant strip.
