This interior partition detail terminates a cold-formed steel stud wall at the underside of a concrete slab on metal deck. The metal stud framing uses a continuous 600T125-33 metal track secured to the concrete deck above with four Hilti DS powder-actuated fasteners having a two-inch embedment. The wall surfaces are finished with five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum board on both sides. A bead of sealant is applied on both sides of the top track junction to resist the passage of smoke.
