The roof drain flashing detail shows a sixty-mil reinforced TPO membrane fully adhered over tapered roof insulation transitioning into a roof drain assembly, with two layers of TPO membrane welded solidly together in all drains and sealed with elastomeric sealant. The typical roof section details sixty-mil PVC or TPO roofing membrane fastened with Rhinoplate fasteners and continuous hot air-weld seam construction over two layers of rigid roof insulation totaling R-twenty-two over a plywood or OSB wood deck. Field membrane seams must not run through the drain bowl, and fastening densities must be consistent with FM ninety wind uplift resistance.
