Concrete flatwork joints are detailed with four distinct configurations for sidewalks and exterior flatwork. The expansion joint incorporates smooth dowels at twenty-four inches on center, expansion joint fiber board filler material, and a sealant bead with quarter-inch rounded edges. The sidewalk contact joint bridges existing and new concrete using #4 by 7-inch epoxy-set dowels spaced at twenty-four inches on center. The weakened plane joint features a quarter-inch by depth T-dimension sawcut or formed groove with quarter-inch rounded edges. The score mark joint provides a quarter-inch surface control groove. Alternate spacing between expansion and weakened plane joints is specified at five feet on center.
