A roof edge assembly incorporates a railing post mounted via a bolted steel plate and a roof flashing boot. The roof build-up includes a roofing membrane, cover board, insulation, and vapor retarder over a composite metal deck. A continuous twelve-inch wide by twenty-gauge strap and continuous batten strip with fasteners at twelve inches on center maximum provide fastener attachment for the roofing system at the vertical parapet transition. Steel studs with three inches of insulation and Z clips form the backing wall assembly.
