An aluminum storefront system mullion bears on shims placed beneath cold-formed metal stud framing at the ceiling line. Exterior plaster over metal lath and a water-resistive barrier terminates at a J-mold next to the storefront head. A backer rod and sealant joint seals the junction between the metal soffit framing and the storefront head. An outline of future finish is indicated over the interior side of the metal stud framing.
