A tubular handrail is supported by a three-quarter-inch steel support bracket positioned three feet above the finished floor. The bracket is welded to a metal plate, with the weld ground smooth and polished. The mounting plate bears against the wall assembly and secures to a metal blocking member welded to the vertical metal studs.
