An aluminum relite head frame connects to the underside of a structural header framed within a wall assembly per plans. The header cavity is filled with sound batt insulation for acoustic separation. Gypsum wallboard sheathing finishes both sides of the framing and abuts the aluminum frame. A sealant bead is applied on each side at the joint between the gypsum board and the window frame.
