An accessible grab bar installation features a one-and-a-quarter to one-and-a-half inch outer diameter stainless steel grab bar mounted with a concealed bracket. The assembly secures to sixteen-gauge steel studs using manufacturer-supplied anchor plates welded to the studs, or to masonry walls using expansion anchors and stainless steel machine screws. A smooth, hard, non-absorbent wall surface extends to forty-eight inches above finished floor and maintains a one-and-a-half inch clear space behind the bar. The completed grab bar installation supports a minimum point load of two hundred fifty pounds.
