This elevator shaft wall jamb assembly is framed with C-H shape metal studs spaced at twenty-four inches on center, sized and gauged per plans. The wall features a one-inch shaft liner with full-depth batt insulation typical between framing. Layers of five-eighths-inch gypsum board over metal stud framing with paint finish enclose the wall. Firestop sealant is applied at the perimeter interface with the elevator opening assembly provided by the elevator manufacturer.
