A roof drain and an adjacent overflow drain are installed through roof sheathing with tapered rigid insulation sloping toward the collars. A single-ply roof membrane runs continuously over the rigid insulation and terminates at the drain sumps. A two-inch collar is provided specifically at the overflow drain locations, spaced a minimum of two feet apart from the primary drain. Tapered insulation creates the drainage slope to the drain sumps.
