This roof drain assembly is installed over dens glass roof sheathing and tapered rigid insulation at the roof drain sump. A reinforced membrane waterproofing layer extends over the insulation and ties into the drain flange with sealant. The roof drain unit is installed per manufacturer recommendations with mechanical fasteners securing the flange. Tapered rigid insulation provides positive drainage toward the drain sump at less than three inches to one horizontal foot.
