A structural steel connection detail showing a channel landing beam framing into a steel column. The C12X20.7 channel beam connects to a three-eighths by three-and-a-half by nine-inch plate using two three-quarter-inch diameter A-325 N bolts. A three-eighths by three-and-a-half by three-and-a-half-inch cap plate is welded to the top of the steel column with quarter-inch fillet welds. Notes indicate stair landing support columns may be continuous for this option, with landing beams framed into columns using shear tabs and column-to-floor-beam web connections made with eight-inch long clip angles.
