An aluminum curtain wall outer corner wraps an HSS column specified per structural drawings. The structural column is framed by six-inch metal studs and wrapped with a continuous foil-faced self-adhering membrane beneath a fluid-applied air barrier. Formed aluminum closures and custom aluminum closure elements supplied by the curtain wall manufacturer finish the exterior transition. Glazed aluminum curtain wall mullions tie into the assembly with joints sealed using one-half-inch sealant and backer rod.
