This stair guardrail and handrail assembly consists of one-and-one-quarter-inch nominal diameter steel pipe horizontal rails spaced evenly with a maximum clearance of under four inches. A one-and-one-quarter-inch nominal diameter schedule forty steel pipe handrail is mounted on five-eighths-inch diameter steel bar support brackets attached to each vertical post. One-and-one-quarter-inch nominal diameter steel pipe vertical posts are spaced at a maximum of forty-two inches on center, unless otherwise noted, and are welded to one-quarter-inch steel plate gussets at each vertical post. Steel channel stringers support the stair treads and risers, with all stair railing connections welded and ground smooth.
