The glazed aluminum curtain wall frame rests upon a continuous sill condition incorporating rigid insulation and a pre-finished metal flashing sloping outward. A foil-faced self-adhesive membrane transitions beneath the framing assembly to provide continuous weatherproofing. Backer rods and elastomeric sealant joints seal the interface between the aluminum extrusion and the building substrate.
