This interior partition assembly consists of three 5/8-inch gypsum board layers on 3-5/8-inch 16-gauge metal studs spaced at 16 inches on center. The head detail anchors the metal top runner track directly to the bottom of the structure. The base detail features a metal bottom track anchored with concrete pins at 32 inches on center typical into the floor substrate, where the face layer of gypsum board is held back 1/4 inch and caulked air tight. Acoustic batt insulation is included within the stud cavity when noted as an acoustic partition.
