A three-quarter-inch diameter galvanized cane bolt thirty inches long drops into a one-inch diameter steel sleeve embedded within a seven-inch diameter concrete footing. A one-and-a-half by two-and-a-half by quarter-inch thick galvanized steel plate with a one-and-a-half by half-inch opening is welded to the cane bolt, aligning with a matching latch welded to the gate frame. Three-quarter by three-sixteenth-inch thick galvanized steel frame guides are welded to the gate frame to secure the sliding rod. A half-inch diameter hole is provided in the latch for a padlock.
