An electrical outlet box penetrates a rated partition as scheduled with acoustical insulation. A resilient pad wraps around the outlet box to dampen sound transmission. Continuous acoustical sealant seals the perimeter of the box where it meets the gypsum board finish. Continuous acoustical insulation fills the partition cavity around the electrical rough-in.
