A steel handrail and guardrail assembly includes a 1 1/2-inch continuous steel tubing handrail mounted to double 1/2-inch by 3-inch steel flat bar balusters at a 4'-0" maximum spacing. The handrail connects via 3/8-inch hot-dip galvanized and painted steel rods with 1/2-inch horizontal steel rods typical. The balusters anchor to 2-inch by 12-inch by 1/2-inch thick L-shaped stainless steel supports fastened with 1/2-inch diameter steel bolts with acorn caps. The top of the guardrail sits at 3'-6 1/2" and the top of the handrail sits at 2'-10".
