The wood door sits on an aluminum threshold and shim above a pressure-treated wood sill plate. An EPDM gasket is placed under the sill plate, which is anchored to the concrete foundation with sill anchors and countersunk fasteners. Felt and sealant form an expansion joint beneath the threshold. The adjacent gym wood flooring assembly includes a hydronics system, insulation, felt expansion joint, flexible flashing, and a ventilated rubber base.
