A structural steel braced frame connection details the intersection of a diagonal brace, floor beam, and vertical column at a working point. The diagonal brace connects to a one-half-inch connection plate using bolts spaced at one and one-half inches and three inches on center. The connection plate ties into a three-eighths-inch plate welded to the column flange with one-quarter-inch fillet welds on three sides. The horizontal beam frames into the column with shear tabs and bolts. All components are detailed with specific edge distances and clearances.
