This wall section details the structural backing required for a wall-mounted television or monitor. The wall is constructed of 4-inch metal studs spaced at 16 inches on center, finished with a 5/8-inch gypsum board face. Double 6-inch metal blocking is installed between the studs from 6 feet to 9 feet above finished floor, secured at each end with Simpson A34 clips. The monitor wall bracket is fastened directly into the metal studs using screws. Batt insulation is omitted from the drawing for clarity.
