A vertical change in level up to one-quarter inch maximum is permitted without beveling, shown with a height dimension of one-quarter inch. Changes in level between one-quarter inch and one-half inch must be beveled with a slope no greater than one-to-two, shown with a total height of one-half inch. These transitions comply with California Building Code standards for accessibility at thresholds and floor transitions.
