A three-hour fire-rated partition head frames perpendicular to a concrete slab on metal deck using a Fire Trak shadowline runner and Posiklip stud attachments. Mineral wool fire safing packs the deck flutes, sealed at the edges with static fire and smoke sealant matching the partition rating. Gypsum wallboard consisting of five-eighths inch Type X GWB is attached to both sides of the metal studs only. Sound attenuation fire blanket is installed within the stud cavity as applicable per the partition type.
