This assembly consists of a built-up stud column composed of three vertical studs matching the typical wall stud size, reinforced with two typical tracks. The column is secured to a continuous bottom track which is anchored to the concrete slab-on-grade using a Simpson SSC4.25 connector. The connector is fastened to the slab with a 3/8-inch diameter by 4 1/2-inch Titen HD anchor and attached to the studs with five number 10 screws on each side. The built-up column assembly is fastened together with eight number 10 self-tapping steel screws spaced at 12 inches on center.
