Cold-formed steel wall assemblies feature typical track splices, door knob blocking, interior jambs, and framing penetrations. The track splice consists of a C-channel track joined with a 2x material splice plate secured by three number ten screws on each side, with studs connected to the channel using two number ten screws. The door knob blocking utilizes a 2x6 flat wood block positioned thirty-six inches to the door and forty-three and one-half inches high between double twenty-gauge metal studs. The interior jamb detail shows an eighteen-gauge rediframe door frame finished with aluminum casing and gypsum board on both sides. The framing penetration detail incorporates a C-channel track with trimmed and bent field tabs connected to the studs with number ten screws around the penetration reinforcement.
