A pipe penetrates an existing framed wall assembly finished with corrugated metal siding, cavity insulation, and concealed studs. Galvanized sheet metal flashing extends behind the siding with a minimum four-inch overlap above the penetration, sloping downward toward the exterior. Sealant is applied at multiple locations including the pipe collar, escutcheon plates, and flashing interfaces. The pipe is installed with a slight downward slope toward the exterior side of the wall and finished with escutcheons on both sides.
