This STC 50 acoustic partition assembly consists of three-and-five-eighths-inch minimum light-gauge steel studs spaced at twenty-four inches on center with a thickness of thirty-three mils and a yield strength of thirty-three kilopounds per square inch. The wall accommodates a span limit of fourteen feet for the three-and-five-eighths-inch studs. The assembly incorporates sound-rated gypsum board layers on both faces over sound-attenuation batt insulation filling the stud cavity. A minimum quarter-inch clearance is maintained at the track connection.
