A raised concrete island rests upon a four-inch compacted gravel bed. The reinforced concrete slab features a compressive strength of three thousand PSI with air entrainment, determined by the engineer based upon equipment weight. Reinforcing consists of number four rebar at ten inches on center each way in both top and bottom layers. Dimensions and positioning coordinate with the equipment manufacturer.
