Double cold-formed steel studs frame the sides of wall openings with a minimum of three 16-gauge metal studs installed where a type A backing plate or type B metal track is required. Six-inch 18-gauge metal backing straps provide additional bracing across the studs. The finished ceiling height coordinates with the reflected ceiling plan.
