This assembly consists of a clad metal scupper integrated into a roof system with a plywood or oriented strand board deck and a 1/4-inch protection board. The 60-mil TPO single-ply membrane is secured to the deck, with a TPO flashing strip hot-air welded to the membrane and the scupper flange. The scupper is fastened at 4 inches on center in a staggered pattern, with cut edges sealed. A continuous bead of urethane sealant is applied along all four sides at the juncture with the outside wall surfaces, and the scupper is required to extend 2 inches past the back side of the wall. A painted 24-gauge galvanized downspout connects to the exterior of the scupper.
