A continuous vapor retarder runs along the face of the interior wall assembly behind PVC interior wall panels. A steel tube member is positioned per structural requirements between a channel bottom track and a deflection top track. The assembly accommodates vertical movement at the deflection track adjacent to structural steel framing.
