The roof joist bears on a structural steel beam supported at the exterior wall assembly. An eighth-inch bent plate sits above the support with typical fillet welds specified on both sides. Perimeter metal deck attachment is provided per plan with specified spacing. An additional plate and attachment are detailed per sheet reference 8/3.S-311.
