The aluminum storefront sill member rests on a concrete slab with shims and sealant over backer rod applied to each side. A half-inch expansion joint separates the exterior walkway from the interior finish floor. The glazing unit maintains a three-eighth-inch minimum clearance above the slab. The exterior concrete walk slopes away from the building at a maximum of two percent. Finish flooring is installed per the room finish schedule, and sill furring is coordinated with the floor plan.
