This elevator shaft wall jamb detail consists of C-H shape metal studs spaced at twenty-four inches on center with size and gauge per plans, finished on both sides with five-eighths inch gypsum board over metal stud framing with paint. The cavity is filled with batt insulation spanning the full depth of the stud typical. One inch shaft liner board is integrated into the assembly at the shaft side. Firestop sealant is applied at the perimeter interface adjacent to the elevator opening assembly provided by the elevator manufacturer.
