This interior wall partition consists of steel studs with gypsum wallboard primary layers extending to the structure. A sound attenuation blanket fills the stud cavity for acoustic control. Overall assembly thickness varies with stud size, measuring four and seven-eighths inches for three and five-eighths inch studs, five and one-quarter inches for four-inch studs, and seven and one-quarter inches for six-inch studs. At one-hour fire-rated locations, the assembly conforms to Gypsum Association file number WP 1072.
