Stud and joist conditions abut a concrete wall. The top stud condition uses a twenty-gauge deflection track fastened to the concrete wall with 0.177-inch diameter by one-and-a-half-inch long shot pins with metal washers spaced at twenty-four inches on center. A one-half-inch fill with caulking is applied to both sides, and gypsum board is installed as required per the floor plan. The joist condition features a continuous thirty-six-gauge steel track secured to the concrete wall with 0.177-inch shot pins at twenty-four inches on center. A steel joist connects into the track and is fastened with number ten screws, with additional studs, steel track, and caulking completing the assembly.
