A motorized roller shade pocket is framed with metal studs and gypsum wallboard below a painted exposed concrete slab. The assembly incorporates continuous wood blocking to support the Mecho/5 pocket bracket and drive end. A single closure mount finishes the pocket opening, while the roller tube and shade band assembly features a reverse roll with a hembar sealed inside the shadecloth. Half-inch thick gypsum wallboard on metal framing surrounds the pocket enclosure, and a pull cord operates the shade mechanism.
