A turnstile top channel sits beneath a box beam header integrated into a suspended ceiling system. A 16-gauge stainless steel closure panel extends 4 inches vertically to bridge the gap between the header and the turnstile. A minimum 1/2-inch clearance is maintained between the header and the top channel. Sealant and backer rod are applied to both sides of the interface, with a variable dimension of plus or minus 7/8 inch verified in the field. The bottom of the ceiling is referenced to the reflected ceiling plan.
